Tantalus Estate is a family owned, premium vineyard destination located in the heart of Onetangi Valley, Waiheke Island.
Established in 2016, our award-winning Estate is an iconic location for world-class cuisine, wine tasting, craft beer, weddings, events and special occasions. Our passion is to provide a tantalising and personal experience across everything we do.
The Estate Restaurant offers a combination of world-class service, delicious cuisine, premium estate boutique wines and sweeping views of the vineyard and Onetangi Valley and make for an unforgettable experience that will stay with you long after the last course.
Reservations are essential to avoid disappointment. As we are experiencing a high number of visitors, we are unable to accept walk-ins at this time. Please note, if you are trying to make a reservation and can’t see availability on your chosen date, this means we are either fully booked, closed for a private event, or it is outside our opening hours. Lunch: Wednesday to Sunday 11am – 5pm
Dinner: Friday & Saturday – ‘Trust the Chef’ menu from 6:30pm onwards
Cellar Door Tastings: 7 Days 11am – 5pm
Please note that on Mondays and Tuesdays, Cellar Door bookings will be held in our downstairs lounge and/or on the Terrace (weather permitting).

Winemaker, Alex Perez, combines traditional winemaking techniques with state-of-the art innovation. Handpicked, basket pressed, unfined, and using indigenous and selected yeasts, our award-winning wines are boutique, refined, and a true reflection of the vintage and the terroir. Each wine is lovingly crafted with a focus on elegance, subtlety and our unique expression of premium European wine regions of Northern Rhône, Bordeaux, Alsace and Burgundy.

Alibi Brewing Co. is renowned for crafting award-winning seasonal, small batch craft beers. Nestled beneath the Estate Restaurant, discover our onsite brewery and the Alibi Brewer’s Lounge, where you can get a sneak preview of the latest craft brew while enjoying Alibi beers on tap and tasty bites from the Lounge menu. With cans and crowlers available to takeaway.
